SHIPPING & RETURNS POLICY
Last Updated: September 7, 2026
Galerie Veyne is an independent art gallery offering original artwork, limited-edition and open-edition prints, photography, framed artwork, and other fine-art products.
Because many of our works are carefully produced, printed, framed, packaged, or shipped through independent artists and specialized fulfillment partners, orders may require substantially more processing time than ordinary retail merchandise.
We prioritize careful production and safe delivery over speed.
By placing an order with Galerie Veyne, you acknowledge and agree to the policies below.
1. ORDER PROCESSING TIMES
Processing times vary depending on the artwork, artist, production method, framing, fulfillment location, availability of materials, and shipping destination.
Unless a specific product listing states otherwise, customers should expect orders to require approximately 2–6 weeks for processing and production before shipment.
Certain artwork may require additional time.
Original artwork, custom framing, oversized pieces, specialty printing, international artist fulfillment, limited editions, and other specialized products may require 6–12 weeks or longer before shipment.
Where an estimated processing period is provided, it is an estimate and not a guaranteed deadline.
Galerie Veyne may extend an estimated processing period when reasonably necessary to complete an order properly.
We may also contact customers if an order is expected to require substantially more time than originally anticipated.
Important
Purchasing artwork from Galerie Veyne is not equivalent to purchasing ordinary mass-produced retail merchandise.
Some works are produced individually, made to order, carefully inspected, framed, packaged, or otherwise prepared specifically for the purchaser.
Customers should therefore purchase only if they are comfortable with potentially extended fulfillment periods.
2. SHIPPING ESTIMATES
Once an order has completed processing, shipping time depends on the carrier, destination, shipping method, package size, customs requirements, and other circumstances.
Unless expressly guaranteed in writing, all shipping estimates are estimates only.
A typical shipment may require approximately 3–14 business days after dispatch, but longer transit times may occur.
International shipments, oversized artwork, framed pieces, remote destinations, customs processing, and other specialized shipments may take substantially longer.
Galerie Veyne does not guarantee a specific delivery date unless expressly agreed to in writing by an authorized representative of Galerie Veyne.
A delayed shipment does not automatically constitute a breach of contract, defective product, or basis for a refund.
3. EXTENDED DELIVERY PERIODS
Customers acknowledge that fine-art orders may occasionally require extended fulfillment periods.
Without limiting the foregoing, delays may result from:
-
Artist availability;
-
Production schedules;
-
Printing;
-
Framing;
-
Materials shortages;
-
Quality-control procedures;
-
Artwork availability;
-
Carrier delays;
-
Customs;
-
International transportation;
-
Weather;
-
Holidays;
-
Natural disasters;
-
Government actions;
-
Labor disruptions;
-
Supply-chain disruptions;
-
Shipping restrictions;
-
Address problems;
-
High-volume periods;
-
Third-party fulfillment providers; or
-
Other circumstances beyond Galerie Veyne's reasonable control.
Where a delay occurs, Galerie Veyne may provide an updated estimated fulfillment or delivery timeframe.
An estimated delivery date is not a guaranteed delivery date.
4. INTERNATIONAL AND THIRD-PARTY FULFILLMENT
Galerie Veyne may work with artists, printers, framers, fulfillment centers, carriers, and other service providers located in different countries.
An artwork may therefore travel through multiple locations before reaching the customer.
Customers acknowledge that international production and fulfillment can require additional time.
Galerie Veyne is not responsible for delays caused by independent third parties where Galerie Veyne has exercised reasonable care in selecting or working with those providers.
5. CUSTOMS, DUTIES, AND IMPORT FEES
For international shipments, customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, import fees, or other governmental charges may apply.
Unless expressly stated otherwise on the product listing or at checkout, such charges are the responsibility of the customer.
Galerie Veyne is not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information necessary for customs clearance.
A customer’s refusal to pay applicable duties, taxes, or import fees does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.
6. SHIPPING ADDRESSES
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address.
If an order is delayed, returned, lost, or otherwise affected because the customer provided an incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or undeliverable address, Galerie Veyne may require the customer to pay additional shipping costs before the order is reshipped.
Galerie Veyne is not responsible for additional costs resulting from customer-provided address errors.
7. DELIVERY CONFIRMATION
Carrier tracking information, delivery confirmations, photographs, signatures, and other carrier records may be used as evidence of shipment and delivery.
If a carrier reports that an order was delivered to the address provided by the customer, Galerie Veyne may treat the shipment as delivered unless the customer provides credible evidence of a delivery problem.
Customers should promptly contact Galerie Veyne if tracking indicates delivery but the package cannot be located.
We may require the customer to cooperate with carrier investigations before determining whether a refund, replacement, or other remedy is appropriate.
8. DAMAGED ARTWORK
Customers should inspect artwork promptly after delivery.
If artwork arrives visibly damaged, the customer should:
-
Photograph the exterior packaging before opening it;
-
Photograph the interior packaging;
-
Photograph the artwork and any visible damage;
-
Preserve all original packaging and shipping materials; and
-
Contact Galerie Veyne as soon as reasonably possible.
Damage claims should generally be submitted within 7 calendar days of delivery.
Failure to preserve packaging or provide requested documentation may make it more difficult for Galerie Veyne to investigate a claim.
Galerie Veyne may require photographs, videos, carrier documentation, or other evidence before approving a replacement, repair, refund, or other remedy.
9. RETURNS
Because artwork may be unique, limited edition, made to order, custom framed, or specially produced, returns are handled differently from ordinary retail merchandise.
Unless otherwise stated on the applicable product listing, customers may request a return within 14 calendar days after delivery.
The artwork must generally be:
-
Unused;
-
Undamaged;
-
In its original condition;
-
In its original packaging where reasonably available; and
-
Suitable for resale.
Galerie Veyne reserves the right to decline returns that do not satisfy these conditions, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
10. NON-RETURNABLE PRODUCTS
The following may be non-returnable, except where required by applicable law:
-
Custom artwork;
-
Personalized artwork;
-
Custom-sized artwork;
-
Made-to-order prints;
-
Custom framing;
-
Artwork produced specifically for a customer's order;
-
Certain limited editions;
-
Certain original artwork;
-
Digital products, if any;
-
Artwork identified as final sale; and
-
Artwork that has been damaged, altered, installed, framed, mounted, or otherwise modified after delivery.
The applicable product listing may identify additional return restrictions.
11. ORIGINAL ARTWORK
Original artwork requires special handling.
Because originals may be unique and irreplaceable, Galerie Veyne may determine that a return is not appropriate except where required by applicable law or where Galerie Veyne expressly authorizes the return.
If an original artwork is accepted for return, Galerie Veyne may require specific packaging, insurance, carrier, shipping method, or return instructions.
Customers must follow those instructions.
12. MADE-TO-ORDER AND CUSTOM ARTWORK
Many fine-art prints and framed pieces may be produced specifically after an order is placed.
Because these items may be created specifically for the customer, cancellation and return rights may be limited.
Once production has begun, Galerie Veyne may be unable to cancel an order or provide a refund except where required by applicable law or expressly approved by Galerie Veyne.
13. RETURN SHIPPING
Unless the artwork arrived damaged, defective, or materially different from the product ordered, the customer is generally responsible for return shipping costs.
Galerie Veyne may require returns to be shipped using an approved carrier, packaging method, insurance level, or tracking service.
Customers remain responsible for artwork while it is being returned until Galerie Veyne or its designated fulfillment facility receives it.
Galerie Veyne is not responsible for artwork lost or damaged during an unauthorized return shipment.
14. REFUNDS
If a return is approved, Galerie Veyne will determine the appropriate refund after receiving and inspecting the returned artwork.
Refunds may be reduced by amounts reasonably attributable to:
-
Damage;
-
Missing components;
-
Missing packaging where material;
-
Excessive handling;
-
Unauthorized alterations;
-
Return shipping costs where applicable; or
-
Other loss in value caused by the customer,
to the extent permitted by law.
Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method.
Processing times for refunds may depend upon the payment processor or financial institution.
15. CANCELLATIONS
Customers may contact Galerie Veyne to request cancellation of an order.
Cancellation requests are not guaranteed.
Once an order has entered production, printing, framing, fulfillment, shipment, or another irreversible stage, Galerie Veyne may be unable to cancel the order.
If Galerie Veyne agrees to a cancellation, any applicable production, processing, transaction, shipping, or other costs may be deducted from the refund to the extent permitted by law.
16. REFUSED OR ABANDONED SHIPMENTS
If a customer refuses delivery, fails to claim a package, provides an incorrect address, or otherwise causes a shipment to be returned to Galerie Veyne or a fulfillment provider, the customer may be responsible for:
-
Original shipping costs;
-
Return shipping costs;
-
Customs or brokerage charges;
-
Storage charges;
-
Repackaging costs;
-
Reshipment costs; and
-
Other reasonable costs incurred as a result.
Galerie Veyne may deduct such costs from any refund otherwise owed, to the extent permitted by law.
17. CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES
Galerie Veyne takes payment disputes seriously.
Before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute, customers agree to contact Galerie Veyne directly and provide a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.
Many potential disputes can be resolved through replacement, repair, refund, clarification, tracking information, or other appropriate remedies.
Customers agree not to initiate a fraudulent, duplicative, or unauthorized chargeback.
A customer should not initiate a chargeback merely because an order is taking longer than an estimated delivery timeframe, where the order remains within the applicable extended fulfillment period or is otherwise being actively fulfilled.
Likewise, a customer should not claim that a transaction was unauthorized when the customer actually authorized the purchase.
Where a customer initiates a payment dispute, Galerie Veyne may provide the payment processor or financial institution with relevant documentation, including:
-
Order records;
-
Payment records;
-
Customer communications;
-
Shipping information;
-
Tracking information;
-
Delivery confirmation;
-
Product descriptions;
-
Return-policy records;
-
Photographs;
-
Production records; and
-
Other information reasonably relevant to the dispute.
Galerie Veyne reserves all rights and remedies available under applicable law in response to fraudulent or abusive payment disputes.
Nothing in this section prohibits a customer from exercising rights that cannot legally be waived.
18. ARTWORK QUALITY AND ACCEPTABLE VARIATIONS
Fine-art products may contain characteristics associated with their materials and production methods.
These may include variations in:
-
Paper;
-
Canvas;
-
Ink;
-
Pigment;
-

-
Grain;
-
Surface;
-
Framing;
-
Wood;
-

-

-

-

-
Other physical characteristics.
Such variations do not necessarily constitute defects.
The appearance of artwork on a customer's monitor or device may differ from the physical artwork.
Customers acknowledge that exact reproduction of colors and physical characteristics on a digital display is not always possible.
19. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY FOR INSTALLATION
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, Galerie Veyne does not provide installation services.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that artwork is installed safely and appropriately.
Galerie Veyne is not responsible for damage, injury, property loss, or other consequences arising from improper installation, mounting, hanging, framing, handling, or display of artwork.
Customers should use appropriate hardware and professional installation services where necessary.
20. LOST, STOLEN, OR MISDELIVERED PACKAGES
If a carrier reports that an order was delivered, Galerie Veyne may require the customer to investigate the delivery with the carrier and provide relevant information before a replacement or refund is considered.
Galerie Veyne may, at its discretion, assist with a carrier investigation or insurance claim.
Where the loss occurred after confirmed delivery to the address provided by the customer, Galerie Veyne may not be responsible for the loss, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
21. NO GUARANTEE OF DELIVERY DATE
Unless Galerie Veyne expressly provides a written guaranteed delivery date, all processing and delivery dates are estimates only.
Purchasers should not place an order if receipt by a particular date is essential unless Galerie Veyne has expressly confirmed that date in writing.
Galerie Veyne is not responsible for losses, expenses, inconvenience, missed events, deadlines, gifts, travel, business opportunities, or other consequences resulting from an estimated delivery date not being met, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
22. FORCE MAJEURE
Galerie Veyne shall not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
These may include:
-
Natural disasters;
-
Severe weather;
-
War;
-
Terrorism;
-
Civil unrest;
-
Government action;
-
Labor disputes;
-

-

-

-
Acts or omissions of third-party providers; or
-
Other circumstances beyond Galerie Veyne's reasonable control.
23. CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE OF THIS POLICY
By placing an order with Galerie Veyne, the customer acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to review this Shipping & Returns Policy and agrees to its terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
This Policy should be read together with Galerie Veyne's Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Where a specific product listing contains additional shipping or return terms, those terms may supplement this Policy.
